Anderson Valley Elementary School

After School Program

The after school program (ASP) begins the first day of school and runs Monday – Friday for children in 1st through 6th grade from dismissal time (3:00 or 1:20) until 6:00PM. If students are picked up early, they need to have the early release form signed by an authorized adult. There is a homework club, recreational opportunities and enrichment classes offered daily. STUDENTS WHO CAN’T ATTEND 5 DAYS A WEEK OR REGULARLY LEAVE EARLY WILL RISK LOSING THEIR SLOT.
The after school program includes:
 The homework club – one hour of help or tutoring to complete homework assignments and reading
 Interventions – there are academic and social-emotional interventions available for students.
 A nutritional meal is served daily
 Recreational and enrichment activities – art, games, sports, Spanish class, ukulele and guitar classes, garden club and more!
 Supervised playtime
Before School Activities
 Early Risers Club – there is supervision and activities for students at the elementary school from 6:45 – 8:20.
 Story Time – come hear stories read by staff, students, and community members – Monday to Friday from 8 – 8:20 AM.

The bus runs from the elementary school to Boonville Fairgrounds, to the high school then out to Gowan’s Oak Tree fruit stand. If your child will be participating in an enrichment class or sport, and plan to take the activity bus home, she/he needs to be signed up for the after school program.
